Sir Christopher Hampton, born in Portugal and raised in Egypt, Hong Kong, and Zanzibar, is an Oscar and Tony- winning British screenwriter, playwright, film director and translator of plays.
Tiana Alexandra-Silliphant, an alumni of Telluride and Sundance International Film Festivals, was born in Vietnam and grew up in the United States. She is a critically acclaimed Vietnamese-American indie filmmaker, actress and philanthropist.
Sir Christopher and Tiana have enjoyed a longtime partnership for three decades during which Mr. Hampton has written many successful plays and films. His recent works include A German Life, the one woman show starring Maggie Smith, and The Father, an upcoming film starring Antony Hopkins and Olivia Colman, directed by Florian Zeller.
Sir Christopher is Executive Producer of Tiana's Viet Nam documentary epic (30 years in the making) titled Why Viet Nam? . Hampton-Silliphant Mgmt & Production Company has also collaborated on The Talking Cure/A Dangerous Method and Appomattox Play/Opera, co-presented with Philip Glass at the Kennedy Center.
